Making an Appointment

Making your Appointment

 Appointments from
7.30 am  -  7.30 pm Monday and Thursday
7.30 am - 5.30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

Appointments are for 15 minutes. If you need to be seen, please phone as early in the day as possible.

If you are unwell and need to be seen urgently or on the same day, you will speak to a nurse who will help assess you and plan a course of action.

Expect a wait of 7+ days for non-urgent appointments.

Please tell the receptionist when you ring if you are not sure whether you need a standard appointment.

Some problems can be dealt with by the nurse (cheaper for you) or you may need a double appointment. This particularly includes medical examinations for work, insurance, driver’s licences etc.

If you need to cancel an appointment please let us know as soon as possible so we can give the appointment time to someone else. Failure to do so may result in a fee being charged.

If we have your cell phone number you will receive a text reminder the day before your appointment.
Tips for Making an Appointment.
  • Try to call us at off-peak times if your call is not urgent.
  • If it is urgent, call as soon as you can so we have the best chance of giving you urgent attention.
  • We have a wide range of different appointments, so if you can give our telephonist an indication of why you want an appointment they will be able to give you the most appropriate one.
  • Our appointments include:
  1. Standard 15 minute appointments with GP, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Health Care Assistant.
  2. Phone appointments with GP, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Health Care Assistant.
  3. Longer appointments are usually needed for minor surgery, medicals (Insurance, Driver's licence, pre-employment, Spirit of Adventure & other trips, etc), and for multiple issues that need more than 15 minutes.
  4. Acute Clinic appointments for accidents, acute illnesses, wound care, injection courses, etc.
  • Our Registered Nurses and Health Care Assistants can do a lot, and it’s cheaper, so don’t assume you need to see a GP. Our Nurses can assist you with a wide range of services, including Well Health Checks, Women's Health care, and Heart Health Checks.
  • Again, tell our telephonist why you need that appointment. If it’s confidential that’s fine- the telephonist will arrange the appointment you’re requesting without needing to know anything.
  • We have ManageMyHealth which allows you to make your appointment yourself, if it’s a standard appointment that you need.
